Working example of buffer~ loading in M4L
I've been asking this question for five months now, and I still haven't got an answer how to do it. Is there a working example of a project to build a M4L object which automatically loads audio files into buffer??
Hello Ernest,
Do you mean something like this?

Best,
Christian
thank you christian, please could you share .maxpat file and project file?
Ernest, this is a frozen amxd with a soundfile read into a buffer on load - you don't need the maxpat file
If you create a amxd and add the assets to the project and consolidate + freeze it, the dependencies are 'fixed' and the media files
are loaded into the buffers on load or whenever you want it.
Nonetheless, here's the patch without the media files (but this won't really help much…)
Thaks Christian, but the problem I have is when I consolidate it, and freeze it, then open it on a Mac instead of a PC, it cant find the files.
This could happen if you use encrypted samples from some Ableton packs (where the other machine lacks the license). Does it happen
with 'normal' .wav/.aif files?
yes, it happens with normal wav files. I would really appreciate it if Cycling74 could provide some examples, including some project files already set up, so we know how Cycling74 wants it done.
I gladly take a look at this issue (and escalate if necessary) if you provide a example where i can reproduce this.
my mail is kleine [at] ableton [dot] com
Let me also know your Max/Live version…
