x y coordinates to pan and tilt of moving head

I'm trying to map x y coordinates to the pan and tilt of a moving head, but get it working only on one axis with interpolation. Maybe i've to use bilinear interpolation, but no idea how.

I tried different tools like the ease and the sadam objects but my mathematical skills are probably to low to get it working...
any tips or existing tools which could be helpful would be great !

Post a patch and we'll have a look. Something I have done before so may be able to help.

Hereby the patch,
i've got it almost i think. just with scale objects which x & y axis corrected while moving in space.
the patch you see one part of the area. I split the parts up to make the calculation easier, but it could also handy to map it better to the area (it's not a square space).

I would like to ask some questions about this patch.

I see the box in the middle where I can select a place on the cartesian plane and how the pan and tilt values change accordingly... but I dont know what good it's doing you. Is this just an intuitive way to get 2 numbers that you can assign midi values to, and then send midi to your console?

What other hardware/software are you using?

Hi Jace,
I don't understand your question. This patch is based on moving head light controlled with DMX. With DMX I control the pan and tilt of a moving light to match to the position of a person in a space.
