Cycling74 added the rawbytes message to the udpsend object so now we are able to send Art-Net data with vanilla Max9 objects.

I have a patch with a number of buffers, each named 'One', 'Two', 'Three' etc etc. I want to be able to manipulate a buffer with another patch that also samples and manipulates buffers. I am opening the secondary sampler patch using the load[patch] message. How can I load the sampler patch with the correct buffer that I want to be affected by that patch. In other words, say I have a granular sampler patch on buffer Three, how do I program the sampler to correctly manipulate the sample loaded on buffer Three?

Secondary question, if I have the granular sampler loaded on buffer Three, I would also like to be able to load the sampler on buffer Eight. How can I make it so that the two instances of the sampler can co-exist and not manipulate each other, ie I can change the parameters of Three without affecting the parameters of Eight? Thank You and I hope this was not too convoluted :] I may edit this if I have more questions.

I'd like to generate a sequence (16 steps), that consist of 4 numbers, 1-2-3-4.

Is it possible to generate this randomly, but with, let's a say a 0-100% chance, per number?

I mean, if the chance of 1 is 100% and the chance for 2-3-4 is 0, it'd fill up all the 16 steps with 1s, but as soon as the chance of 2 increases to 50%, the end result will be a mix between 1 and 2.

Here is a handy patch to zoom/resize dynamically AND edit settings on the fly without ever leaving presentation view.  

Once set, hovering over the various UI objects will report window size to prepare for next action, keeping Max zoom and presentation resizing in sync.  It uses their scripting names to trigger the action.

Open the first patch and drag window around, adjust zoom with menu and INCDEC, click expand tab back and forth.  Everything should stay synced.

To change settings from a locked presentation: click EDIT.

- Drag window around and/or drag height/width to desired INITIAL settings.

- Drag width of window to desire location to desired variable width.

Activating / Deactivating EDIT MODE switches between grow and nogrow window flags, to prevent scrolling while locked.

Also great for finished standalones and Max4Live, to bring zoom/resize functionality to other targets.  Just delete the EDIT button (or remove from presentation view) when set.

NOTE: when back in patching view, don't forget to enable disable grow/nogrow windowflags as needed.

Also a little hidden feature... ZOOMZOOM... when Max's idea of 100% just isn't enough.  Just enter a float factor so that your "100%" can be whatever you want, regardless of actual patch zoom.

Two patches attached. One expanded example with annotations and one clean-ish encapsulated version with EDIT MODE in a popup window.  The second version is easier to drop into existing patches or as a template to start a patch from scratch with the features already baked in.

I hope someone can get some good use out of this. Bit of a mess, but it works great so far.   Many thanks for all the incredible help provided here in the forum. It's nice to contribute back.  Many thanks to Joe Kaplan, whose JS window offset saved the day.

I have this test patch and trying to have a multichannel patch as it's entire thing used in a poly environment meaning e.g. thereby using 10 channels in the mc environment in let's say 10 different poly voices/instances.

I'm running into issues with voice allocations, specifically that my upon sending another midi note, the entire envelope retriggers from the start. How do I remove that? 

I see that the "thispoly" object seems to play a role here. I cannot grasp it's proper use as of now, even though I read through the help patches.

I have 4 colls within my patch (of indeterminate length), as well as a few additional data elements, that I would like to save to a single file on disk.  I would then want to be able to load that file back into my patch to restore the data to those same colls and to the various other data elements.

This patch is creating chaotic oscillation with the logistic map function.

The jumps in values creates aliasing due to it exceeding the niquiest frequency. So I had to downsample (red) it with the help of latch.

Now I was recommended to upsample it again. I tried doing that (green) but something is wrong with my patch and I cannot figure out what it is. It  doesn't work unless I delete the histroy "upsample" object. Weird. Then it actually generates the interpolation I wanted. Otherwise nothing happens.  I'm generally a little confused and not sure if what I did is actually correct.

Hi, I just stumbled upon ossia score which allows detection and control of OSC Devices through OSCQuery.

While they have their own external for Max, the OSCQuery functionality newly integrated in MaxMSP should work in communicating. Though I looked at the response from MaxMSP's OSCQuery Server, the format differs from the OSCQuery proposal stated here,

For instance: min and max in MaxMSP's params have separate OSC Addresses, while the proposal uses a RANGE key with an object with min and max keys on the parameter. 

This mismatch seems to impact the ability for external programs to recognize the param with their properties, instead treating each property of the param as a modifiable param.

Wonder if there are workarounds on this? Or maybe an option can be added in Max to switch between OSCQuery formats?
