I have 4 colls within my patch (of indeterminate length), as well as a few additional data elements, that I would like to save to a single file on disk.  I would then want to be able to load that file back into my patch to restore the data to those same colls and to the various other data elements.

This patch is creating chaotic oscillation with the logistic map function.

The jumps in values creates aliasing due to it exceeding the niquiest frequency. So I had to downsample (red) it with the help of latch.

Now I was recommended to upsample it again. I tried doing that (green) but something is wrong with my patch and I cannot figure out what it is. It  doesn't work unless I delete the histroy "upsample" object. Weird. Then it actually generates the interpolation I wanted. Otherwise nothing happens.  I'm generally a little confused and not sure if what I did is actually correct.

Hi, I just stumbled upon ossia score which allows detection and control of OSC Devices through OSCQuery.

While they have their own external for Max, the OSCQuery functionality newly integrated in MaxMSP should work in communicating. Though I looked at the response from MaxMSP's OSCQuery Server, the format differs from the OSCQuery proposal stated here,

For instance: min and max in MaxMSP's params have separate OSC Addresses, while the proposal uses a RANGE key with an object with min and max keys on the parameter. 

This mismatch seems to impact the ability for external programs to recognize the param with their properties, instead treating each property of the param as a modifiable param.

Wonder if there are workarounds on this? Or maybe an option can be added in Max to switch between OSCQuery formats?

I would like to share this brief study on the subject of Delaunay Triangulation and Voronoi Diagrams.

I was initially inspired by a Coding Train tutorial and was interested to see if I could achieve the result in Jitter. I used the new [v8] javascript engine in Max9, which is many times faster than the previous [js] object. I also made use of the new typed-arrays (Float32Array) to work with matrices within v8, instead of working directly on the matrix. For the calculations of the Triangulation and the Voronoi I use the d3-delaunay node package, but it's not used within [node.script], instead it is included in [v8].

Hi!  Does anyone have an suggestions in Max for how get a behaviour similar to instantiating a class in object-oriented programming?

Example, I have a [jit.gl.gridshape] and I'm feeding it a bunch of attributes values.

As my patch runs, some event occurs, and when this event occurs I want to programmatically create a new [jit.gl.gridshape] with it's own  attribute values. 

Various events in the patch will create, remove, and adjust the attributes of these gridshapes independently.

In an object-oriented language, I would create a class called gridsphape, and then instantiate instances of that class, each with unique names, and then manipulate them.

MAX doesn't seem to lend itself to working in this way as far as I can tell.

One solution i can think of is to create a subpatch that manages my gridsphaes.  Save the subpatcher as a file, and then use Patcher Scripting to create and manipulate instances of it.

Before I embark in that direction, I'm curious if there are any different or better solutions I might be missing.  Thanks in advance!

situation :  with [function] I change positions of a stepper motor. X120(sec), Y 40000(positions of motor). Works well. loops of 2 minutes.  

what I want : with slider (simulating a joystick) I want to change the dots of the curve simultaneously while reading the loop. In the end, I should not even look at the screen, but continuously adapt the curve with the joystick until the motor is moving conveniently. The correction is of course always executed for the next turn of the loop, that's ok for me.  After a few turns, the motor follows my requested move ... and I can do the same game on the next of the 20 motors.  

my problem : the correction does not erase the previous dots but adds the new ones keeping the old ones. How can I kick off the not wanted dot-value of the curve (but not CLEAR the whole curve) ?

If anyone has a solution, I'd be very  happy, many thanks in advance, pad

Hi, this is Valky River. I recently made this patch (LumaConfig) for generating layouts for the Lumatone keyboard. However, I ran into an issue — it crashes a lot. Whenever I load a file with it, sometimes it works fine, and other times it crashes. Does any of you know why this is happening?

I feel like it's either the Uzi or the qmetro causing this, but I couldn't find a way around it.
