Sorry for this question again.Ive seen in the forum there are questions about this but no one has really solved the problem as far as i can

for me the whole "check off the 32bit runtime mode" worked, go to your max app, information and it should be ticked off

OK I noticed I cant have MAX running while trying to open it in Ableton aswell. Noted !

For the curious, none of the above solutions "check off 32bit runtime" or running Max via Ableton first worked for me, with a fresh install of High Sierra, MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014).

"Currently running max/msp has wrong architecture expected 64 bit found 32 bit"
