We´re having trouble sending data from arduino to MAX. It has worked before, but now we get an error message saying "error opening serial port" when we try to use the serial function. The print function says that COM5 is connected to the e port, and we have closed arduino IDE so the port won't be busy, but it's not working. Does anybody have a solution to this problem? I've tried googling it, but none of the previous solutions we found worked for us.

We have a big project that needs to be ready by monday, so I would appreciate quick answers :-)

Try this patch. Reload the port menu, select the correct menu item, check you have started serial on the Arduino and have same baud rate, then start polling the serial port with the metro. 

Did you ever find a solution to this? I am having the exact same problem
