Do you have an idea why some .mxo files don't load in Max 8 ? I putted all my files .mxo files in the packages in the Max folder. Some libraries worked well but the older ones are not working (from Max 6 and 5).

I prefer to precise : I ran the both softwares in 64bits.

I'm running on Mac OS 10.12.6 with a Retina MacBook Pro.

Check the Max console for error messages. Older externals need to be updated with 64-bit versions to run under Max 8. If an .mxo isn't loading, most likely you have an older 32-bit version. Some 3rd-party externals aren't available in 64-bit — it's a bit of a rewrite.

Ok, I will run it on Max 7 for now and wait for the update. I hope they'll make it.

did you have to setup something in Max 7 to run the 32-bit version?

To run Max7 in 32 bit mode, you need to open Max' information panel in the Finder (⌘-I), and check the "Open in 32-bit mode" flag. This is of course only possible if your OS allows it, which is not the case with X.15.
