15 years ago, on my 21st birthday, I got a copy of Max and a laptop. I used to patch crosslegged for hours with the laptop on the floor, propped up on my ankles. If you're young, you hear stories from old people about back problems and think (if you're nice), "Gosh my back is fine! Sucks for him/her"
Don't go as long as I did hunching over a laptop.
I just put a portable monitor in an ipad clip and it sits about 18 inches off my table. I feel like I used to be a gremlin. This is game changing.
