I'm new to Max and am trying to build an affect that would take the current volume of a channel in lives mixer, mirror it in Max and then reset the volume in Live back to 0. I'm coming across a few problems that I cant find solutions to.

1. I cant seem to find out how to mirror Live and Maxes dB gain to match.

2. Is there a way to reset lives own mixer back to 0 without taking control away from live itself. (I have managed to achieve it with live.remote but this stops me having control of the volume channel inside live itself)

Any help or ideas would be greatly useful.
