Adding adsr to a rect~ amplification modulator.
So I'm building a self generating type synth in which I had added some amplification modulation using rect~ objects. Everything is working except I am getting loud clicks when I am modulating the signal. Can I add some kind of envelope to smooth out the clicks? Or is there a better way to do it? Here's the amp mod portion of my patch.
You are doing a multiple RM modulation with a square wave. The modulation frequencies arrive only at 10 Hz. At that frequency you have only 10 cicles per second so you can clearly ear clicks because the square wave is an impulsive wave and it has only 1 and -1 values that suddenly change from one to the other. Try to increase the modulation frequency reaching an audible frequency (more then 20/25 Hz. Try some experiments with 30 Hz then 100 Hz then 500 Hz...) or change the modulating wave with a smoother one such as a sine or triangular one and clicks will decrease a lot.
