Audio light is orange

Hello,
Only when using mubu patches, the audio status light is orange instead of blue.
When other patches are used, the color is blue.
Why is this orange and what does it mean?

thanks
Sayuki

Not sure, but seems it indicates if "Switch Is Local" attribute is toggled, if it is orange the ezdac~ turns on/off audio only in the local window, if it is blue it is global.

Thank you for replying.
I'll check my audio setup!

"Switch Is Local" is an attribute of the ezdac~ object, not audio setup. You can check with the inspector (ctrl+I) with the object selected.

just to add, sometimes it does go orange when you need to reinitalize audio after you've changed the setup: for example, everytime i want to use 'Screenflow' to screencapture, i need to switch to the 'Telestream' audio-capture driver, and if my audio-status is already on, it then causes the blue/active status to go orange, then all i have to do is click it off then back on again and the orange turns to blue(of course, the safest thing would be for me to turn it off before changing things, then i'd never see the orange at all once i turn it back on and i'd protect speakers from harsh pops, but whenever i use screenflow i'm always on the cheapest headphones and don't care as much :p).

this is not in disagreement with what Namakemon wrote though, it's possible in such a situation where the driver is not being registered correctly as having propagated the change all across the system, it's a bit like the orange is still indicating something similar to 'switch is local'(in such a case, the change in driver, or audio setup, didn't propagate properly across the entire system).

thank you for replying both of you.
To Namakemon
I'll check it with ctrl+c!

haha, no worries... friends call me 'Raja' :)

once I plugged in the earphones...

hmmm.. that's interesting... you must have something special about your headphones..
this is a screenshot without headphones plugged in on my system:

then with my headphones plugged in, it adds this entry into 'Output Device' which i have to select as "External Headphones" to get sound through my headphones:

but mine never goes orange, which makes me think maybe your headphones have a special audio-driver or installable package of some sort which adds special functionality to the system and might be causing your issue.
normally with changes like that(like with my 'Screenflow' usage), i just have to select the appropriate 'Output Device', then click the audio off, then back on again and it will switch from orange(to grey for 'off' and then...) back to blue.
if you select your headphones from the 'output device' menu, then click the power icon for audio off then back on again and it doesn't return to blue, you could list your exact headphone specs here and maybe someone else with the same headphones might be able to give further helpful info., otherwise, with continued issues like this, i'd recommend writing directly to support(at)cycling74.com

(one more guess i have:
-you could check the manufacturer site for your headphones, see if they've updated drivers and reinstall those then try again(my headphones are wired, so they don't require anything else like drivers/install-packages, but i'm not experienced in newer wireless headphones), if you don't see your headphones selectable in that menu, they might not be compatible, i'd still advise contacting support in this case )

hope it helps! 🍻

Thank you for your kindness and replying, Raya:)

I see...
my earphones are airpods pro. So wireless...
I'll check my audio system both of situations.
if it wouldn't work, i'll write to support!

Thank you very much😊
