Blackmagic Native video capture issue when using @output_texture 1
Windows 10 / Max 8.1.4 GL3
I got an issue when capturing UHD video via a Blackmagic PCIe card using the device
- DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder [Native]
The captured image is fine when using @output_texture 0 but it is half the width with artifacts when using @output_texture 1. See the screenshot attached.
Is there a solution to get the full width resolution for @output_texture 1 ?
The other Blackmagic devices
- Blackmagic WDM Capture
- Decklink Video Capture
are working in terms of texture resolution.
By the way, DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder [Native]/ @output_texture 1 is the only setting where I am able to achieve 60fps as mentioned here:
https://cycling74.com/forums/video-capture-uhd60fps
Update: It does happen with FHD input source even worse, see attached screenshots
I do have the same kind of problem but with a Recorder3G, simply using [jit.grab]'s help file.
Blackmagic DeckLinkAPI version: 14.2.0
OpenGL Version 4.1 Metal - 88.1, GLSL Version 4.10
Max8.5.7 or Max8.6.4, under macOS_14.6.1
Any solution since 2020?
This happens with the glcore graphics engine. With gl2 it does work fine.
I thought this got sorted out but I'll take another look.
Thank you Bob. I'd be happy to test for you.
Hi,
same problem here also.
Macboopro M3
Sonoma
Ultrastudio recorder 3G, desktop video 14.2.1
GL2
Working with Output_texture 1
not working at all with output_texture 0 (error + black screen)
GLCORE
Strange image with Output_texture 0
Not working at all with output_texture 1
And also i only have the native driver listed.
Thanks
Elie
happy to say I managed to get this fixed up. apologies it fell off my radar.
Good news, thank you Rob.
Will there be a fix for Max8 or only for Max9?
If there is a Max 8 update, the fix will be in there. However I can also throw up a Jitter Tools update on the Package Manager that will fix this. Just wanted to get some verifications that the fix works and doesn't create other side effects. I'll try and get that up this week and will notify here when it is.
Is there a version somewhere with the fix ? I'm playing tomorrow, i really need it :)
thanks
E
Ok the fix for this for Max 8.6.2 and up is now available as the 1.0.11 update to the Jitter Tools package in the Package Manager. Please install that update and let me know if it fixes the blackmagic input glitches for Max 8.
Max 9 users will not need to install this package update.
I don't have time for a long test, but your fix seems to work fine with my setup (gl2 & glcore). Many thanks Rob!
