Hi Maxers. I can't find any command to change the origin point on the multislider object. Toggling the "signed" mode sets the object's origin to 0, but I want it at 60 for a MIDI display centered around middle C.

Can the origin be changed or is a workaround required? Thanks!

some objects can have default states, others not.

Thanks for the reply, Roman. But I'm still not sure what initializing message I can set to change the origin. This is my desired appearance for the object:

i would probably write an abstraction for it (actually i would use LCD) - but i think your main issue is that "signed" is not working in integer mode (for no real reason and without telling the user)

also, in "signed" both sides have to be of the same length, so if you use a multislider of range -1. to 1., and later you want to convert that to 0 - 127 you either have to convert the negative values with a different scaling, or the GUI wont match to the output so that you end up with -6 to 127 (or 0 to 120, which would be what i suggest)

(an integer range of an even number of values does not have a center value!)

other than that the initialisation could not be easier than using "setlist":
