crashes when creating objects

hello

Max4Live has been crashing a lot lately on my computer (Live 10, Windows 10 64bit).
I can open a patch, create an object, but as soon as I start typing into it (I suppose anything that will make the suggestions list pop), Max freezes until I manually kill it.

Not sure if it's related but it all started with the "live.drop" object that made many patches crash as I dropped files into it. Then some devices like the "convolution reverb" made Live crash just by loading them.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Max (also removing the AppData/roaming/Cycling '74 folder) and also reinstalling Ableton (even though the problem occurs with the stand alone version of MaxMsp too) but the issue is still there.

I'm out of ideas, is this a known issue ?

hey, I had a similar issue and rebuilding the database solved my problems
;max db.reset
give it a try!

hi, thanks
I can type ";max db.reset" into a message but when I press enter or click elsewhere, max crashes

I wiped everything I could find about ableton or max on my computer, incuding document folders, registries, I reinstalled ableton from scratch and didn't link it to my user libraries, but it still crashes. there has to be another cause

So, just so you know I finally solved this problem, it was apparently due to two different things.

The first one was an issue with a font (Verdana) although it was already installed on my pc, I had to reinstall it.
I'm very grateful to the Max support team who has figured that one out.
From that point Max started to behave normally but a few older ableton sets still refused to load.

The second reason was because of the max4live convolution reverb.
I don't know why there are two similar reverbs in Ableton, one with blue decoration that seems to be there by default and the other with orange decorations that seems to come from a Live pack.
For some reason the orange one makes Live crash while the blue is ok, so I uninstalled the orange one (to avoid a crash at loading time) and am manually replacing it with the blue one in all the sets that uses it.
