I recently installed version 8.2.1 for Mac. I noticed that every once in a while when I re-open a patch, the Delay object does not have any inlets or outlets. I try making new delay objects and those don't have any either. When this happens I have to quit Max and re-open and then the inlets/outlets come back. But of course the patch cords already got disconnected from before so then I have to re-attach them. This can get problematic as the patch gets more complex to have to re-find every delay object and attach its cords.

Okay, I found one that was called DELAY.maxpat and renamed it. It was an example I found for delaying signals a different way than I normally do. I'll see if that helps.
