Double-click in Max not working for Microsoft Windows?

Hello, I am trying to use the ctlin object, which requires a double-click on the object. I have two instances of Max running right now, one on OS X and the other on Windows 10.

I can double-click the object in OS X no problem, but it is not detected in Windows 10. Any advice? Thanks

okay, people. Why haven't anyone come up with a solution? I'm having the same issue now. I also use employee monitoring(worktime) to control all processes on PC. But I can't find the reason for this doubleclick...

Why would you double-click on ctlin? I've never needed to for that object. I just use whatever values come out from the MIDI controller. What is it supposed to do?

doubleclick on midi objects popups menu to choose which midi device or port to use

works on both Mac, and yes Windows, left or right mouse buttons work the same.
It is a quick, convenient way to do so,
but if at the end one can't use doubleclick then ... midiinfo umenu etc

Same issue here with "midin" on Windows 10 - no response or very delayed response on double click.
