Fingerpinger not working in Max 8.3

Has anyone managed to get the Fingerpinger external working in Max 8.3?

It seems to still work in 8.1 but doesn't produce any output at all in 8.2 onwards..

The source code is available so there is a chance it could be updated to work on later Max versions but if any Cycling devs have some info on why it wouldn't work, that would be great. It does use the Apple MultitouchSupport framework so maybe that is causing an issue...

Ok, thanks BDC. That's reassuring if I update later.

Still no idea why I can't get it working in 8.2/3 on Big Sur but the object isn't really supported anymore.

If any Cycling or Max external devs read this, is there any info you could add to help with getting stable multitouch trackpad functionality?

Curious if anyone has compiled this for an M1 MacBook running 8.5.x ? The trackpad on the M1 mac is giant and would be great to use as a controller. the hi object does not seem to recognize it. Just curious if there is a solution out there

I'm not able to download fingerpinger from source, it says the .zip file is corrupted. Does anyone have a copy they'd be willing to share?

Hey, I tried this object but it says "couldn't load due to incorrect architecture"
Anyone managed to build it for 64 bits / M1 or is it more complex than that ?

Thx
