Hi! Is anyone aware of the Function create_audio_clip (class Clipslot). It's listed in the LOM manual but don't seem to work (also for class Track) :

live.object: 'ClipSlot' object has no attribute 'create_audio_clip'

At first I tought it was because I was using it under Ableton 11, so I installed Ableton 12 trial and still don't work.

My guess is that 12 trial is version .0.1 and the LOM manual refers to .0.5

I was wondering if anyone using 12.0.5 tried create_audio_clip function because I don't think I can update from the trial version... or maybe I'm wrong... Thanks!

UPDATE : It only works with the beta version of Ableton 12.0.5.

Hey!  I'm running into this issue... how do I install the new beta version?  I don't see it anywhere on their site

I was trying this out with the trial version of 12 to confirm my use case before upgrading and I ran into the same issue.

You can call create_audio_clip with a file path of an audio file (never loaded in Ableton before) and it will import the audio to a clip on an audio track?
