Help with exporting to a Quicktime movie?
I am a beginner to Max and I'm having a bit of a nightmare trying to export what I have made in Max into a quicktime movie. If someone could take a look at my patch and tell me what to do it would be greatly appreciated! I've tried using jit.qt.record but it just keeps recording 2:48 of black instead of my visuals. I don't necessarily need the sound to be included in the movie file, just the visuals.
Thanks!
On mac you shoudl try syphon recorder.
Think its spout for windows.
Thanks. I can't get that to work though. Nothing seems to work at all.
Are you on mac or windows ?
Post your patch with select all. Go to edit. Select copy compressed. Paste in the forum.
I'm on a mac. I have attached the code. I'm using audio files that are on my computer to trigger the visuals so it probably won't work. But any help on where to start exporting to a quicktime movie would be great thanks!
if you are rendering using opengl (jit.gl.render), than you must use a jit.gl.asyncread to readback your gl-scene as a matrix for recording with jit.record.
alternatively, and probably a better solution, you can record your gl-scene with SyphonRecorder, as suggested by Andro.
