Hi object in live
Hi !
how stable is the Hi object in max4live ?
i have a device i made to get midi out of a wireless xbox360 game joystick
and its actually very cool controller , wireless , handy, functional,
and i want to use it so the singer will have a control for her voice channel fx
so , it works when it works
but sometimes it just dont work !
most of the times i need to load the device and delete it and reload it again
and only after some time it actually finds the controller ,
or i need to open the max editor and then it works from there,
but thats not an option for a live performance , i need to have the device working flawless...
i get a message in the max window under max4live , the object is loading oko
and try to find a remote or any HID device and finds 0 devices.
any one have any info on that or another way of communicating with joysticks?
thanks
Bringing this back to life because I have a similar problem and would appreciate some help.
I'm using an old flight simulator throttle controller to control my live set via the "Hi" object. But some times it doesn't work when the max editor is closed. It works again right away when I open it. Is this just a flaw/instability of this hi object or do I need to set it up in a certain way in order to make it work?
I guess it is problem of switching between runtime as live device
and max as editor.
If you just use your device without editing , does it work reliably ?
if that is so, then quit live after editing such device and reopen it again.
Thanks so much for your reply by the way. It wasn't reliable even without editing so I ended up ditching it and got myself a new controller.
I'm using a Logitech Attack 3 in Live, I made hundreds (seriously) of gigs with it, it never failed once.
