How to change 64 bit Max MSP to the 32 bit version?

I have windows 8.1 with the 64 bit version. I didn't realize until now that there are modules that I have downloaded that only work with the 32 bit version. Do I just download the 32 bit from the same site that I got the 64? Will I have to pay again for it, or would I somehow just login with the same account and it be fine? Do I need to wipe the 64 bit from my computer? Is there a risk of losing the patches I already made?
As you might tell by my questions, I'm a beginner with max and comp sci in general, so the simplest "as if I were a young child" explanation would work best for me haha.
