Internal "Facetime" Camera using Bootcamp/Windows is acting strange
I'm on a Macbook Pro 15" Mid 2013 using Windows 10.
jit.dx.grab doesn't seem to want to give me the correct resolution or aspect ratio from the internal camera. If I ask for 1280 x 720, it gives me an image that is quite pixellated and a bit stretched. However, Window's native camera app functions properly with the camera.
i'm guessing this is due to drivers (or the lackthereof) with the windows version of Max. Is this a known/solvable issue? For now I guess I can try using a external USB camera.
it's probably a bootcamp drivers issue. there's nothing we can do about that. on parallels using facetime camera in windows 8, the max resolution i can get is 640x480.
is video (jit.movie) playback also broken? I can't seem to get it to work.
make sure you are in 32 bit mode, or read this : https://www.ableton.com/en/help/article/live-64-windows-video-playback/
thanks for the link. buying a codec seems a bit ridiculous, but the free one should work just fine.
