Screw Your Crappy one month trial

Hi there friends! I am still quite new to this program and I was wondering if this sorta of stuff is possible in this program.

So I have been trying to make a system where you can edit images in Max8, something similar to Photoshop. However I only managed to use jit.charmap with video files. So I am wondering if its possible to instead of using video files, import image files and edit them with jit.charmap?

PS: I hope I didn't come of has confusing, if so, my apoligies.

the movie is permanently banging the jit.charmap (every video frame), the image isn't, therefore you'll need a matrix as a imgae buffer/storage and now you just bang this buffer every time you manipulate data via a bang-objct. hope this helps.

Is it possible to import a jpg/png file and use it with jit.charmap
