Issue with window size on dual-monitor set-up (Windows 10)

Hello! I'm new to Max 8 and I've been having a relatively small issue, but it's an issue that's slowly been driving me nuts. Every time I launch Max and the console window pops up or do something like open a subpatcher in an open patch...basically every time a new window in Max opens that's scaled to my monitor's resolution but not maximized (which seems to be the default, since that's how the console opens up on launch and how patcher/subpatcher windows that were maximized before saving open up), this window is offset a bit to the right and bleeds into my second monitor. It's something like ~10-20 pixels. So every time, I have to either maximize the window or fiddle about dragging it back to the left.

I've never had this issue with any other software in all my years using two monitors, which leads me to believe that this is really something to do with Max. I've looked searched the Internet and haven't found an answer, and I looked through as much as I could of the Max 8 documentation (wasn't really sure where to look or even start). I know that there's an object that sets the size of the patcher window, but I'd really like to avoid using that as a solution.

Is there somewhere in the Max configuration where I can simply make all new windows open up maximized? Or tell Max where (and what size) I want new windows without having to add an object to my patchers (since anyway, this happens with the console as well, so I can't very well put an object in the console, y'know)? I hope my explanation was clear enough for one of y'all to help me out. Thanks.

Edit: Here is a video of the behaviour.

how about saving empty patch into templates and using it as new ?
In preferences one could than select default new patcher template.

Thanks for the reply! I tried this and I get the same issue, both when I create the template with the empty patcher maximized and when I don't maximize it and just move it to the left so it doesn't bleed over into my second screen. I made sure to select the templates from the preferences menu after creating them when I tested them out. I also restarted Max before testing as well.

Anyone else have and idea of what could be happening?

Edit: I also added a screenshot of the problem to my initial post.
Edit 2: Added a video as well.
