Live sampling

Definitely not the first one who is interested in a sampler with recording function..: I'm looking for a very simple solution that allows me record directly into a sampler. Any ideas?

you can use the [groove~], [record~], [buffer~], [sig~] objects to record and play back samples, and [snapshot~] plus some other stuff to read the buffer length into [waveform~]. The main thing you need to do though is try for yourself! ;) the help patches are really great (alt click on any object and its help patch comes up), and there will be tutorials in the documentation on this sort of thing. It feels like a bit of an ocean of information at first, but you've basically got to jump in somewhere, and use the documentation as your guide.

There are so many options in Max for recording incoming audio and manipulating it. As Rob said, the help files for the basic recording/playback objects should be enough to get you started.

Just dive in and see what's possible - once you start playing around you'll get a better idea of what you want to do and what might be possible.
