Hey all,

Got a weird issue reported by one of my users on Live 10.1.25, where instead a a proper scope he gets this:

What could this be ?
A funny one :p

Hello
Not sure if it is revelant but those strips appear on live.object (and only live.xxx objects) if you change one of their attribute without saving the device while in edit mode...
Maybe a clue..

You should double check ableton’s version info pages. live.scope~ is a new object and live 10.1.25 is not the latest available, I think.

(Any object used in a patch which cannot be found by Max appears like your screenshot. So what it’s telling you is that live.scope~ doesn’t exist on your users system)

If the user installs the latest Max 8, and selects it instead of the bundled version in Live's Preferences, seems live.scope works even in Live 10 (maybe even Live 9?).

At least it seems to work here with the Live 10.1.40b2 beta I still have installed.

Hello,
I have the same issue with Max 8.2.1 on Mac OS 10.14.6 when building a standalone application. The standalone app refuses to display the live.scope~ object and displays "live.scope~" instead.
Do you have any idea on how to fix this?
Thanks

it's maybe the same. Do you use the last version ? Old ones doesn't have this new object..

Hi Schlam,

I used MaxMSP latest release version 8.2.1 available.
The Max console says it can not find the "live.scope~.mxo" external.
I realized that in the ressources of the built application the "packages" folder is empty.
Unlike other max 4 live objects the live.scope~.mxo external happen to be in the "/packages/maxforlive-elements" folder of MaxMsp and not it the "/externals/m4l" folder just like other live objects externals.
May be something missing in the build process...?

So I found a quick and dirty way to fix it:
- Copy paste the package folder "maxforlive-elements" from the Max8 App Packages folder to the Standalone App Package folder "./Contents/Ressources/C74/packages/.
This will do the trick.

Thanks,
