Make live.tab Output Start at 1
Hey all, new to Max4Live.
I'm attempting to make a stereo filter, with switchable filter types on each channel. I've currently got the audio signal going into a gate~ 4, with an instance of live.tab to control it and send the audio signal to 4 different SVFs, each outputting a different filtertype.
What I've found, however, is that the gate responds to 1-4, whereas the live.tab is outputting 0-3, which means that if I select the second button, the first output is open; if I select the third tab, the second output is open.
I haven't been able to figure a way around this yet. Ideally, I'd need the live.tab to output a signal of 1-4, or have the gate respond to a signal of 0-3. I'd really like to stick with using the live.tab, as it seems like the most elegant way of switching filtertypes from a UI standpoint.
Would appreciate any help with this! :)
Should be as simple as adding [+ 1] after the [live.tab].
How would I go about doing that? Do I add +1 as an argument to the live.tab, or something else?
Just add the “plus” object with an argument of “1.” So [+ 1].
Holy crap, that actually worked that time. Thanks!
Agh, now it's acting up again. This time I have a switch set to alternate between [active 1] and [active 0] to turn the live.tab off and on, as part of a setup to turn the two filters off and on. Unfortunately, no matter what I do, the live.tab refuses to respond to the [active 1] and [active 0] going to it.
Did you put the [+ 1] after the [live.tab]? If so, it shouldn’t have an effect on what’s going into the [live.tab].
Yes, the [+1] is after the [live.tab].
This is what I'm trying to make work. The Bypass button leads to the switcher in the middle, which is intended to turn the [live.tab] on and off, and the other cord leads to a gate~ that routes the incoming audio signal either to the filter or to the output.

The “active” parts need to be message objects and they need to be going to the leftmost inlet.
Sorry, message objects?
EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out. Thanks!
