Max 8.1.1 Scheduler Startup Delay Windows 10
Since updating to Max 8.1.1 I have noticed a pronounced delay in starting up timing-based activity when first opening a patch on my Windows 10 (1909) system (HP zBook G5 2018 32GB RAM 1 TB SSD i7-8850). When starting up Max, if the attached patch is started from the console as soon as the console window appears onscreen, there is a 10 second delay between the gate open (1) and the counter. If I restart the app and WAIT 10 seconds after the console window appears, the patch starts counting immediately; the same is true if it is closed and reopened again leaving the app running. This makes me think that the Max Console window is being displayed onscreen too soon after app load (the scheduling functions are not yet fully initialised). Anyone else able to reproduce this?
Hi
Normally MacOS user but shortly started to us Windows 10 for Max development because of cheaper and faster computers. ;-)
Noticed a real difference in Max6, Max7 and Max8 startup. Max8 is really slow, also without starting a patch. I don't know why.
Also does Windows 10 Scheduler Tasks works with Max6 and Max7 but not with Max8, but that's a new post.
