Trying to work around the missing project path info (a device can not query the path of its Live project, asked many times since M4L exists), I'm using the 

 object in a device to add a folder to the search path.

When freezing the device and then saving, Max crashes after 5min of being unresponsive, then Live crashes after 5 more minutes. Below are both crashlogs (slightly different):
