Max for Live crashing Ableton

I recently installed Ableton 10 and immediately noticed that most Max plugins will quickly crash Ableton. Both third party and stock. I tried to open them in the Max standalone too and the same plugins crash that. When I open Max the console says, "unable to get init function from audio lib!” I don't know anything about Max and I haven't found much help anywhere else. I just know that this didn't happen in Ableton 9. Can anyone suggest anything to fix this problem?

I have the same problem. The audio plugins seem to crash Live 10.

Same here, win7, Live10.0.1 trial (for now). It frequently crashes when I open a live set that has a complex M4L device. I found a little workaround ... if I first open the trivial "Max Midi Effect" device, and then my Live set, it works. Quite annoying. I'd contact support if I wasn't on the trial right now.

Other with the same problem.

I will have sent about ten thousand crash reports to the people of Ableton, but they never listened to me or helped me with the problem.

Buy original software for this. A total lack of respect towards the client.

Thank you, Hollyhook, because by doing what you say I was able to load the project and eliminate M4L convolution reverb forever, I will not use it anymore.

Another time I used to open an empty project, load convolution reverb, and then upload the problematic project and pray to see if it opened. Half of the time I opened, but today I could not use that method, and I could do it thanks to your advice.

In the end we have to help each other among users. Damn the time I bought the program and gave money to those people.

Thanks, Namakemon, i will try it.

But I think that they should have responded to some of my reports, especially when I have been with the same problem for two years, and after many updates the problems continued. Does that mean they read the reports?

Some email I had sent two years ago, with a problem about rewire, and they could not or they knew how to help me.

I'll try my luck now, with the crashes with convolution reverb, to see if this time they work as well as you say.

Thanks again.
