mc.sfplay~ timestretch limit to stereo in standalone
Hi all,
it seems that, in a standalone, the timestretch option of the mc.sfplay~ object limits its outputs to only 2 tracks. Is it a bug, or do i have to do something special ?
Thanks,
I remember from the past that ztx licence that cycling bought for max, did not fully extend to standalone usage.
I had to crack one customers standalone to think it is max to go on using high qualiity algo....
That was some years ago, I don't know if anyhing in that respect changed and if it affects channel configuration
in mc objects

Thank you for this information, but there is no message like that in the standalone Max Console.
The .mxf file works well in Max, but not in standalone.
here is a simple example :
your patch built as standalone:

quad file plays, I did not bother to listen if it stretches, shifts or whatever, only if it plays.
and sure enough, standalone limitations are still there

Yes, there is a limitation on mode and quality. But why also a limitation on the number of tracks ?
I need to read 8 tracks, is it impossible to timestretch (Basic mode & quailty) a file like that in a standalone ?
but where is that limit for you?
no audio output ?
or something else ?
I can play 8 channels ok, and all 8 tracks slow down
Max 8.1.11 built standalone

Thank you for your answer.
In my standalone, playback is limited to 2 tracks, if I use timestretch.
No message in the standalone Max Console in basic mode.
Max 8.5.5 built standalone - Mac or Win

any max version higher than 8.1.11 limits to 2 channels.
I checked all existing runtime versions from 8.2.2 to 8.5.5.
Only 8.1.11 and older output all 8 channels
Hi
Version 8.5.6 doesn't change the problem... Timestrecth is still limited to two tracks in standalone. Can we expect a correction of this bug ?
Hi
RNBO 1.2.2 is great !
Maybe a new version of Max is in the works.
Hoping that this limitation to 2 tracks in standalone will be corrected...
Thanks in advance !
@Francois Sorry but this is a condition of our ZTX licensing terms as of 2021, and will not be changed any time soon. If you wish, you will need to split your audio into multiple stereo files, although this might not satisfy your needs.
