Hello! I've been working on a patch for a while and I've reached a hurdle I can't pass. I'm trying to make a midi effect which will assign a "life" (X) to incoming notes, and it will play that note X number of times along with your next key presses. Kind of like a Note Echo with Note-Ons being the clock. Anyways, the Life parameter is supposed to be live performable, but if you decrease the life parameter while there are indices greater than its value, it won't go down and the buffer will only change the numbers with a lower life value. It'd make more sense if you see the patch below. Basically what I'm asking is, how can I have two notes be assigned the same "life" value based on how I have it set up? The way I am accomplishing the life value is just deleting the first item of the coll, and the indices are the life values for each. Is there a better way of doing this so that I can decrement one value of a list (note, velocity, life)?

There are quite few questionable things here ...

If one would set number of repetitions for incoming note,

depending on it's pitch, so that for example note 100 allways

has it's own index in buffer, than all other notes would trigger

it untill set number of repetitions is used, unless one plays

note 100 again and sets new repetition count.

But for that, one would have to use something like hold pedal

to assign played note current "life" value.

Hi there, sorry for the very late response, I wasn't informed of a reply. Thank you so much for the example, this was very helpful! I will have to work more on it when I have some more time.

Multiple coll items at same index? Or another way to decrement all values?
