My Max Msp journey and progress

In this topic I will try and share my learning journey with Max/MSP. I am writing about it in my blog and will try and contain all my questions in this topic. In other words not spam the entire forum with stuff.

I have had Max installed for a long time but never got around learning it properly. Got stuck a couple of times , mostly in my head and stopped and got back to my old setup and ways. In the back of my mind it's always been the ideal open ended system for creating my musical projects.

So I am now taking the plunge. The goal is to built cool patches for the interaction with my Eurorack modular synths. Recording, manipulating and do all sorts with the incoming audio from that. But in order not to get lost I will start by building a looper. Keeping it simple this time and try to build it up slowly.

My blogs about this (and other stuff) can be found on https://cornerman.net/

Been a bit down with Corona last few weeks but have done another post on my looper idea up on my blog. And I have followed the very good video's from dearjohnreed on YouTube. Be sure to check them out.

I am now working on the functional design of the looper and experimenting on getting it all on Github and make sure I somehow get the different itterations clearly on there. I have found that working towards a goal goes al long way while learning Max. The empty patcher somehow had a weird effect on my ability to grind it out as long as I needed to learn a basic fluidity with Max. This seems to work much better now.

Any tips on Max in combination with GitHub would be appreciated : )
