I would like to share with you an issue I'm having in Max 8. I'm learning to use MIDI objects, many of which can generate audio (for example, midiout should do it). My problem is: I cannot display any audio. Nothing is coming out from the speakers, no signal is sent to my Mac internal synth.

The only associate driver is Live (indeed, I have Max 8 because I purchased Ableton Live 10); however, I'm anyway able to use Max 8 independently from Ableton, and to create new patches without firstly opening Live 10. I'm not sure, but maybe you own a license only for Max for Live, not for the full version of Max 8.

Maybe you should check on your receipt or with Ableton sales.
