Not requesting Camera Permissions, can't manually add macOS Catalina 10.15
Considering jumping ship from pd for the better video features, but running into issues even getting started.
Running Catalina 10.15 beta, fresh Max install.
When I drag in a grabber or try to manually bang a jit.grab object max hangs for ages and then I get the error `jit.grab: no video devices present.` in console.
Max hasn't requested camera access ever and I can't manually grant it, which I found suggested here for a similar issue in Mojave. (You can only approve/disapprove apps once they've requested.)
Anyone encountered and hopefully overcome this issue in the past who could lend a hand?
Max should have asked for permissions to access camera.
If not, than it is probably OS problem and not max specific.
Some report that disabling SIP on new catalina releases prevents apps from asking
but ... who knows.
I think it is difficult enough to cope with official OS releases,
with more or less known rules instead of installing betas and getting all surprises apple has to offer.
I reinstalled catalina because all my devices went weird.
Seems to have fixed it, asked for permissions first open.
