Quickly connect one outlet to multiple inlets: Request for pro tips

Hi, I'm trying to up my Max game a bit, and I've come across some potential bottlenecks in my workflow. My current situation is having one message outlet, and then connecting that one outlet to a large number of inlets. In my case it is 40 inlets of a "join" object. Is there any way to avoid having to individually link 40 patches one by one? I've seen some things about patch mechanics, and I've seen some good tips about using hotkeys to rapidly create objects from one selected object. But I don't see any hotkeys that might apply to my case: rapidly connecting existing inlets to existing outlets.

If there is something that works for my situation, I would appreciate any tips. However, even more so, I'm looking for a comprehensive guide for other advanced tips and tricks that can take Max skills up a notch. I've also seen the Max Toolbox. Is this worth using? Something that is nice to have, or something that every Max pro would have installed?

Any thoughts on avoiding noob tendencies and building more efficient habits?
