save / save as
Since last max update "save" acts like "save as". everytime I save I have the dialog asking me to choose name and location for the file. I don't remember having changing anything in my preferences, any explanation for that ?
try that with new empty patch, store it initially into some
location you are sure about having write access to.
It seems that it behave normally when saving a new empty patch
maybe you have something like pattrstorage in patches that missbehave which then causes that
Yes, there is a pattrstorage. It has parameter mode enabled for it to save its data within live set in m4l. I am saving in a folder located in my iCloud drive. Saving max patch in icloud drive behaves normally so it may be this pattrstorage data that causes this systematic “save as” behavior….
I think that is so
make yourself depend on >10 things and you will always have at least one problem.
