Send-Receive objects drop out

I am having issues with send and receive objects. There is a mystical "integer 3" causes send and receive objects to drop out and not working any longer. I can get around with it by changing the argument each time but as you can imagine it is not that healthy because you dont know when it will happen next time. I checked almost every where and could not find what causes this. Furthermore it might happen in any send- receive couple, not a specific one.
Does anyone has the same problem? Is there any solution for it?
Thanks.

i have encountered now and then in maxforlive "mystical" behaviour that just causes something to stop working, the last i can recall though, was the integer (the numboxes) itself stopping to working. and the solution was also mystical and unrelated, switching the ableton preferences to ASIO driver. then switching back to DS it was still working but maybe would block again out of the blue.
i'm just wondering, is there any chance that the numbox stops working and not the s-r pair?
and is the problem specific to s-r objects hooked in your patch? or did you test it on an empty patch as well?

Sorry I have been out of town. I have found the mystic 3 integer. I am using a live.numbox linked to live.menu and both of them has the initial number of 3. On top of that there is also a loadmess sending 3 to them. So loadmess sends 3 to the objects while they also receive as a bang to initialise and here you have the mystic 3 integer going around the veins of the program.
I wanted to post a patch but it is a very big one and hard to find anything inside. I will share it when it is ready.
Thanks for your replies to both of you.
I still do not understand how we can do all these things with only 1 and 0 :)
Cheers.
