Set Miraweb IP?
Hi all, I'm wondering if there's a way to manually set the IP/network adapter that Miraweb is using for network communication. Currently it seems as if the IP/network adapter is selected automatically and is not manually settable.
For context,:I'm running Miraweb on a Mac Mini in which I have a DMX controller (an Enttec ODE) connected to the Ethernet port at 10.0.0.1, and the wifi adapter is being used to communicate with other computers. I'd like to connect to the patch via Miraweb over the wifi network as well, but it seems that Mira is selecting the Ethernet adapter by default. As a result, I'm unable to connect to the patch over wifi.
Any tips greatly appreciated! In the event that this feature isn't currently available, is there any chance that we'll get something like an IP/network adapter attribute for Mira objects in the future?
+1 on this request, I am really quite often also using wired and wifi networks for completely different things, and this can depend on whether use is at studio, home, or in performance.
I'd say for me, the IP auto-assignment is not much of a big deal, it is probably acquired via DHCP, but choosing the network adapter is the important part. Perhaps some dropdown menu can populate with available adapters, and upon selection, the request can then be made to acquire an IP.
To be clear, when I say IP auto-assignment, I'm not talking about assignment of an IP to the machine, which of course happens outside Max, but rather selection by Mira objects of an IP/network adapter to route Mira traffic through.
Thanks for the suggestions! I'd head over to the Miraweb GitHub page and enter these as Issues:
