Setting the id cannot be triggered by notifications
I don't create any patches and use only ready devices from maxforlive.com, so while reading all the forums related to corresponding topic my understanding became even worser. So, could anybody please describe step by step how i can get rid of this annoying message "Setting the id cannot be triggered by notifications". And as for dessert i also receive "Live API is not initialized. Use live.thisdevice to determine when initialization is complete"
Hey mate I also had this problem and worked it out this morning. I'm not a programmer and only make music, so I'll be able to explain it easily for you. A lot of the threads on here make your head hurt and you have to read a tonne of stuff you don't understand. You just wanna make music and for shit to work - I get it.
I signed up just so I could post this, hoping it helps people like me and you.
Here's how I did it:
1. Open up edit window by clicking the top left corner next to the refresh button in ableton, on your M4L device.
2. Unfreeze by clicking the snowflake and then hit presentation mode. All of these are located on the bottom toolbar of Max.
3. Find live.thisdevice.
4. Create a new object by hitting n on your keyboard, then call it deferlow.
5. Connect the far left output of live.thisdevice to the top of your new object deferlow.
6. Take the bottom of deferlow and hook it up to the top of all the loadband objects or bang objects.
Voila!
You can now make music in peace.
