Shift-Enter on Mac with Function Box

I have issues using Shift-Enter to remove points from a function box. On a clean boot of the Mac (mini with M4) and Max 9, it works. Perhaps until I run the patch (?).

Then, it doesn't. At all. Rebooting Max does not fix this. Rebooting everything does.

Clicking (even with shift) creates new points. I can't get rid of any. If I try to select/delete, the entire function box disappears.

Is this a known issue with Max key binding? It is frustrating.

Update: So, this only works when the patcher is locked?
