Specific Problems with Software

Hello, I am still fairly new to Max but I have been encountering problems that seem to be actually related to the software internals rather than me doing things wrong.

For example when I open up the 'Convolution-Wokshop' example patch (it doesn't even open when I click it from the the ExamplesOverview window so I have to find it in C:\ProgramFiles etc) the Max console says

"pfft~ - no patcher cw_fft
pfft~ - patchcord outlet out of range: deleting patchcord
pfft~ - patchcord inlet out of range: deleting patchcord"

Even though the 'cw_fft' file is in the same directory in the lib folder.

Also when I've been using the analyser~ external it will work great until about 3 minutes in (though not a consistent time) when the mic input just seems to switch itself off. It's the same for zsa.descriptors and even just the fzero~ object but doesn't happen when I am just using processes that I build myself which use the adc~ object and anything involving a mic input.

I don't think I'm doing anything wrong so jus wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience or has an idea as to why this might be happening?
