I'm writing a simple MFL device that provides 64 additional freely assignable macros. But somewhere along the way, I screwed something up.

Now, whenever I map Macro 1 to a parameter, Macro 2 gets mapped to it as well. I can map Macro 2 to something different without problem, but it continues to also respond to Macro 1's mapping, such that Macro 2 moves whenever Macro 1 does, regardless of its (Macro 2's) own mapping.

If that doesn't make sense, I've copied the patch below for more experienced MFLers to look at. Just load the device then move Bank 1 Macro 1 and you'll see what I mean immediately.

you have the output of the dial for macro 1 going to the input of the dial for macro 2! simple mistake

Oh wow, rookie mistake, but that's the one! I wish I knew how that happened, and how I was unable to spot that in the first place ha. Anyway, problem solved now. Thanks!

There is a pop-up window in this device that reveals the 64 buttons to map parameters to each of the macros. The nuts and bolts for this window are contained in a subpatcher within my device. Yet when I copy-and-paste the .amxd file to a flash drive (or email it) for use on another computer, the contents of this mapping subpatcher have disappeared, rendering the device useless. How can I save everything within the .amxd file such that the entire device is transferred whenever I move this file?

Freeze the device with the snowflake button. This gathers all files/dependencies into the .amxd.

Nice, sounds simple enough. Will try that when I get back to my Max computer. Preeshate it guys.
