Tutorial "Geometric Dreams" shows only black screen
Hello everyone!
I'm very new to the whole Max community and thus also to the Vizzie objects, and while following the lesson called "Geometric Dreams" which should result in a window showing a grid being distorted by audio-input I was unable to get anything showing in the jit.world window. I've clicked on "Open completed patcher" and even that doesn't work - do I need to correct some settings or what am I doing wrong?

ah this is interesting, and an unfortunate oversight on our part.
Vizzie has undergone a major overhaul since the version used for this lesson. It now performs all the processing on the GPU for efficiency, but loses some of the cool idiosyncratic matrix processing utilized in this lesson. There is no real solution for this to work as described using the current Vizzie modules.
I went ahead and grabbed the vizzie module from Max 7 that makes the lesson patch function as expected, so you can play with that as a consolation. Apologies for the misleading information presented in the lesson, I know that can be confusing when you are starting out!

Hi, I just ran into the same problem and spent ages trying to get it to work before I realised it possibly wasn't something I was doing wrong. Maybe remove/replace that lesson?

I wish this tutorial had been removed. It was my first tutorial and I couldn't complete it. This was posted a year ago and I experienced the same problem.

came here in Sept 2022 with the same problem
