Using [textedit] to write text into [coll]

I have been working on this for hours and have not made any progress. So I figured I'd post it here and see if anyone has any ideas and/or can point out something I'm missing.

Essentially what I am trying to do is create a patch where you can type anything into the [texedit] object and have it stored in the [coll]. This could be a word or a single sentence. I've used the help files as a starting point in the hopes that keeping it simple would get to the desired result. Within the patch, you can type whatever into [textedit] and then hit enter for it to be stored in the [text] object.

From there, I cannot get the two elements to be store correctly and placed inside of a [message] that can be sent to the [coll]. Any ideas or advice would be appreciated.
