Absolute beginner here. I'm using M4L version 8 for Live on Windows 10, 64bit.

Videos have never worked on my pc, the tutorials never showed up and all stock videos don't show any thumbnail. I think there's an issue with the location.

As well as this, even when I attempt to drop in my own videos they will not work. The closest I have come is getting audio from a .wmv file.

I've been looking everywhere for an answer to this. I hope someone is able to help me out. I'm sure there's a relatively simple solution. 

Happy to provide more information/screenshots etc.

you need to install the VIDDLL package from the Package Manager when using MFL on Windows. This is unfortunately not currently documented anywhere. Simply launch Max (click the edit button on a mfl device), then open the Package Manager from the File menu, then search for VIDDLL and install it. you should be good with video playback after that.
