Did anyone manage to get vipr externals running on max 8 On osx, i am stuck with: vipr: unable to load object bundle executable did something changed with max8 and externals?

I hadn't heard of the vipr externals before, but this sounds like you might be using the 32bit only version of the objects (v1.1 or earlier).
Max 8 is 64bit only, so I'd recommend checking out the newer 64bit versions (v2.0b) available for download on the github page (I haven't tested them yet).
Also keep in mind, that the VIDDLL engine might satisfy some overlap in codec functionality, though not the realtime codec parameter changing features which sound really fun to play with!

hey Joshua, you are right! i was sure i was running the 64bit version but actually wasn't :/ and yes the codec parameters in realtime makes a realtime datamosh happy world :) thank you! ps: does it means that enabling "run in 32bit mode" doesnt do anything on max8 ?

Hello dear real-time datamosh fellow. It is working smoothly with v2.0b. Hope you can solve it. Cheers!

Ah, glad to hear! Yes, "run in 32bit mode" is meaningless for Max 8.

No worries, something might be wrong with my patch, i have the same results on windows, interesting it didnt happen in 32bit mode. Do you mind just sharing what codec you are using? i am using FLV Sorenson Spark H263 & MPEG-1 on my side thanks!

Good to know it also works in Windows, I have to try that! I'm using AV_CODEC_ID_FLV1.
