I'm working on a patch that revolves around Ableton's Wavetable device, and need a way to set the modulation matrix programmatically using the js object. From the 

Live Object Model docs for WavetableDevice

, I've discovered some functions attached to the device. I've had no issues setting parameters (using 

) or setting the properties attached to the WavetableDevice.

My issue is that I can't figure out the syntax that the add_parameter_to_modulation_matrix function is expecting. The docs describe Parameter: 

 [DeviceParameter], but I am receiving syntax errors.

I've tried passing the following as arguments:

- Live object_id for the parameter to be added

api.call("is_parameter_modulatable", "parameters " + filterFreqParamId)
or
api.call("is_parameter_modulatable", filterFreqParamId)

- param_index on the device (eg. 26 for Filter Freq 1)

api.call("is_parameter_modulatable", "parameters " + filterFreqParamIndex)

api.call("is_parameter_modulatable", filterFreqParamIndex)

- passing the object as a new LiveAPI instance

Is there a way to use m4l to load a pre-warped clip (.alc file) from the browser or file system to a clip slot in session view?

I know you can load a .wav using its filepath, but id like to use a .alc clip so i can retain info saved in a clip, like warping and start/stop markers.

I dont see a direct solution for this in the LOM, but I do see you can edit a clip’s parameters with m4l, so maybe I could parse the xml data out of the .als file with JS, then load the raw audio file to a slot and then edit that clip to match using the data?

Has anyone else experienced this in Ableton 10? With many, but not all M4L devices, including Autotuna, Pitch Shift, and multiple devices I've created myself, it seems that while automation for parameters on these devices work fine within the project when playing, its effect is not heard when exporting to audio.

if there are any programmatic changes which affect the controls (say a number passed into a live.dial) during playback it will disable the automation that you have previously recorded in the automation lane.  (the lane would turn gray rather than red).  Is that possibly what’s happening?

live.remote~ is not accurately outputting its inputs. The larger the number, the worse the difference.

The below patch clearly demonstrates this.

It really appears to be an issue with live.remote~ and not any of the other objects. You can see the signal is being printed accurately right before it hits live.remote~.

I spent a lot of time ruling out every possible setting. 

It would be nice to get a confirmation before I raise a ticket. 

A lot of people do not use such big numbers, but they matter a lot when doing bit packing.
