Console error message 'No such object'
Hi I am trying to use the nn~ object developed by Antoine Carillon at IRCAM but I keep getting a 'no such object found' error message in the console. When I open the help file, it also lists the no such object found messages also for mc.nn~ and mc.bnn~. As far as I can tell, there are no files in the search path named nn that would cause an issue.
Hello, I'm having the same Issue. Did you find a Solution?
Best regards, Arthur
Looks like your object is not installed at the right place.
You could try to check if you followed all installation instructions - maybe adding a specific search path to make sure Max is aware of the place where you have the object in?
I did add a search path, but Max could not find the package.
Now i disabled Quarantine ("defaults write com.apple.LaunchServices LSQuarantine -bool NO")
and downloaded nn~ again and i git a different error: nn~: "unable to load object bundle executable", as soon as I click "open anyway" on all macos popups I'm back with "file not found"
Any ideas, what might be causing this?
I've used Norton 360 protection for years so I stick with it but some of the newer features are a real pain. These days, Norton checks so many things whilst packages are downloading, installing and executing and unless you have every level of reporting turned on, all sorts of thing can happen without me even realising. I've had packages fail to install or have their contents silently removed as soon as they are installed and even my own standalone app, that does nothing more serious than processing MIDI and OSC data, flags up warnings until I add it to the exclusions list! And even if what I am dealing with is perfectly safe, Norton will flag it as an unknown and potentially serious threat just because it's not been added to their database before. That goes for Max, VST installations, and all maner of specialist stuff.
Windows Defender is even worse!
So, my bet is that whatever virus protection software you are using is deleting the files as soon as they are unpacked and saved to disk!
Robust virus protection is great for "normal" use and absolutely necessary these days but unless you are dealing with things that large numbers of people around the world are using every day, it can be a real pain in the ****!
1 from the post it is clear that this is Mac system
2 it could well be that downloaded external get punished by system protection
but ...
Ircam has allways managed to complicate things over the top.
Who cares what OS it is - the issues are just the same!
i tried to build my own object without success cos I’m not python user but I found i can download the .mxo at Ircam forum directly

I have faced the same situation. Could anyone explain the final solution? Thanks!
Was this ever resolved? Same problem with the quarantine.
Perhaps my response here is relevant:
