Max crashes as soon as DSP starts (mac) [SOLVED]

Dear forum,

I am experiencing a serious issue with Max: As soon as I start the DSP (either from a patcher or from the audio status), max crashes, even when absolutely nothing is running (i.e. when I just open Max and turn on the DSP from the Audio Status).

However, If I build the project as an application, the application works completely fine (i am lucky i chose not to loadbang the DSP...).

Here are my specs:

I have tried reinstalling Max and it did not work. The internet does not seem to provide any solution either. Any help would be much appreciated !

Delete Max preferences, in first place audio driver setup stuff.
That works in most cases.

Hey thanks for your answer.

So I went to /Users/username/Library/Preferences, searched for "max" in this folder, and deleted any file / folder related to max msp (is this what you ment ?)

It didn't solve the problem...

/Users/username/Library/Application Support/cycling74 is the place to look

Spotlight is a nightmare on osx, but if You don't remove it alltogether, why
not at least use it to search for stuff?

Same applies to forums here which have answered tons of allways repeating questions,
but it seems that not many bother to search

Solved !
Indeed I just deleted this folder
/Users/username/Library/Application Support/cycling74.

Then I launched max again and the folder re-appeared with reset preferences.

Sorry for being very bad at searching in both spotlight and max forum, which I did though... And thanks for quick and accurate answers !

Good that it worked, and nothing seriously got wrong on Your Mac.
This can happen if apps crashes few times, which again can cause corruption
of preferences.
And don't worry about my comments, I just sometimes can't resist criticising a bit
